Carol Baxter, the history detective, has been interested in the British crime and punishment systems since she discovered three English convicts in her Australian ancestry.
While working for a genealogy project, she edited many criminal and convict records. She also wrote about criminals in her internationally acclaimed "true historical crime" books.
Go to Carol's Criminals and Convicts "topic" page to find other sources that will help you research and write about your criminal of interest.
NB. The content in this Cargo of Convicts lesson will be expanded upon in the Rogues and Rapscallions course.
